Home Collection - Thomas Rosenquist
We are going to start these posts with a series we’d like to call “Home Collection”. It’s a reference to the art we’ve collected, traded or received as gifts that hangs in our home. I’ve always been interested in personal art collections. Usually there is a story behind the piece whether it was a great find at a yard sale or a meeting with a famous artist. Hope you enjoy the tour.

The first pieces were done by painter/sculptor and good friend Thomas Rosenquist. The two paintings are of our two dogs and were done at different times. This first piece was commissioned by another friend as a wedding gift. Amy fell in love with this piece and always gave it a prime space for it in our house. Frankie (the dog) is a little fire cracker of a dog. She’s the type of dog that showers you with affection (translation=licks you to death).

The second piece was a recent birthday gift from Tom and it’s of our second dog Leo. He knew Amy loved the first painting so he decided to complete the series. Leo is a dogs-dog, he has a tendency to play and wrestle dogs twice his size and can be a little scrapper at times.
Tom is a great artist and his works range from sculpture to painting. If you are interested in his works or if you want to commission him drop me an email and I’ll put you in contact. craig (at) enginesystem (dot) com
