“On April 1 I’m heading to the Middle East to do a documentary about surfers in Israel and Gaza, more specifically, these two crews of surfers (Jewish and Arab) who’ve never met, but are working together to engage the peace process. I’m going to document the separate scenes then hopefully get them together for a surf trip (they’ve never actually met or surfed together). -Alex Klein”

Willie is a sculptor that makes furniture out of old bicycle frames and motorcycle chassis’s . The picture above was a custom couch and glass end table made for the Handmade Bicycle show in Portland. The couch is all hand done and made from an old Bianchi bicycle frame. He’s working on 12-20 new pieces for an upcoming art show this May. We’ll keep you posted with dates.
